CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Imagen
Hello everyone, today I will talk about my study program. The Faculty of Forest Sciences is very peculiar, since it requires many field trips, however, despite this need, budgets are limited to these, so many subjects that require it do not have these. Within the subjects there are several courses to form certain bases, such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, etc. As well as there are many more advanced branches, delving into aspects such as ecology, nursery, physiology, genetics, forest management, etc. These more complex branches are usually the essence of the career, a criticism towards these is that the branches have many requirements, and that in some they are not closely related. On the other hand, throughout the career there are several branches that do not have much relevance, so they are generally not very considered by the student body, this is due to the high academic load, so these branches become a loss of time not being well received. Another relevant aspect is that cu

Time travel to the future

Imagen
If I could travel in time to the future and if it has a return, I would like to be able to visit the futures in medium terms, such as 1 or 2 years, even reaching 10 years. The truth is that I see a clear utility for it, to be able to prevent certain negative events that can occur if they are not prevented in time. Maybe if I had the possibility, I would travel to the past, since I am interested in knowing how people lived in Latin America, what their social relationships were like, etc. And one of the things that strikes me the most is knowing what the landscape was like before the arrival of the Spanish, to know how to guide the conservation objectives. Or maybe I would just enjoy the old society for a while, without having to worry about all the vices of today's society. Obviously I would return once I got tired of the old society, the truth is that I can leave for a while but I feel that I am in this territory, in the time that I was born and in this body, all the rest are exp

My future job

In the future I would love to work as a park ranger in a protected wild area in southern Chile. I'm actually interested in being the administrator of a protected wilderness area, however the jobs are similar. The truth is I feel that it is something necessary, since the protection of ecosystems and their challenges are something that have to be solved by living with the environment, in order to adapt to local needs. As for the salary, according to what I have reviewed, the salaries are higher than 1,000,000 CLP. Although it is a good salary, I am satisfied that I give myself to live and be able to do a job that I like. To be an administrator of a protected wild area, one must study forestry engineering or a similar career, so that said person knows how to manage said ecosystem. In addition, it is required to have experience for a year in a similar area and ideally know about ecosystem restoration and/or nursery. In case of not being able to work on that, I would like to be able to

Forestry Engineering

This career is very beautiful, it has allowed me to learn a lot about terrestrial ecosystems and especially the plant species that compose it. I really like learning about tools that help ecosystems from the impact they have suffered from anthropic alterations. Another thing that I find positive about this race is that it allows you to interact with nature in the many field trips that are available. (68) Another benefit that in my opinion is important, is the environmental awareness that develops when studying forest engineering, thus generating an in-depth knowledge of the impacts of actions so minimized that they affect the native forest and other ecosystems. (169) I think that to a large extent I chose this career because when I was a child, nature attracted my attention, I liked animals a lot and contemplated trees, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. At the time I decided to study, I was not sure what to choose, so I opted for the side that generated interest in me since I was little.

Cook

Imagen
Hi everybody today I´m going to talk about something as simple as cooking. But why did I decide to talk about this topic and not another? The reason is very simple, it is simply a daily action that allows us to determine what food we consume, the pleasure of looking for a good combination of flavors and that at the time of eating the results are majestic. What I really enjoy the most is eating, because it is pleasant and I find it almost a ritual of who I am, being able to partly determine my state of health with this, although I do not always prioritize well-being over pleasure. However, I think that it is something so basic that many people are unconcerned, without habits, without worrying about what to eat, without prioritizing this as one of the most important actions that we can do for ourselves, that is, to detach from who we are. Finally, remember the importance of always looking for new ways of cooking and the advantage that can be obtained from multiculturalism when it comes t

he best holidays ever

My best vacation was on the Carretera austral, in Patagonia. It was in the summer of 2020, specifically in February, a trip that lasted about a month. On this trip I decided to travel alone on the highway, starting from Puerto Montt and arriving at Caleta Tortel, then I returned to Coyhaique to fly back. (55) On the trip I had the opportunity to meet good people and many beautiful places, I did a lot of hiking, I also camped in most of the towns that were on the route, I rode by boat and one of the things that I enjoyed the most was being able to enter the photography of flora and fauna, in fact there I started. (118) This experience was so enriching that it helped me to learn and enjoy this territory a lot. Also as I traveled alone, I could do whatever I wanted without any difficulty. (148) If someone comes to go to this area, I recommend visiting the Michimahuida glacier , in the Pumalín National Park and also the Laguna del Puma , in the Queulat National Park.

A country you would like to visit

Imagen
A country that I am interested in knowing is Brazil, since I am curious to know the Amazon and the ecosystems of the area. I really don't know a lot about there, that's why I want to go to learn about the diversity and ecology of the territory and everything that a tropical climate entails. However, what I do know is that it has high biodiversity and that it also has extremely lush forests, which represent one of the greatest contributions of oxygen to the planet from terrestrial ecosystems . Personally, I would love to be in the jungle for several days isolated from society until I get bored or tired of being there, surviving as circumstances allow. In the place I would find a way to get money either for seasonal jobs or applying acquired knowledge related to forestry engineering, but I can really easily adapt to the circumstance. (149) And this is all for today. Thank you for read me.
